The Drive

The Winner experience as we have come to know it, often ends with praises, flowers, awards and accolades, but prior to reaching the finish line it is a lonely journey, often void of any support or help.

As the founders of Winners Circle, Jaynain Panchal and Tinashe Machokoto, we have had our fair share of successes in our careers and walks of life, but what became apparent to us is the lack of support we, and many of our peers, have experienced in pursuit of our goals. We don’t think it’s because people hate us, or that they don’t care about our betterment, they just don’t know what to make of our climb to the top, and the same is likely to be true of you too.

Our generation's networks have become so big that it is so hard to really understand and get to know the finer details of each other's lives. We constantly bombard each other's social media feeds with the highlights of our lives, no wonder no one checks up on each other. We all look like we’re doing great, but those highlights are just a fraction of the whole story.

This is especially true for Winners and anyone working their way to become one. If you are anyone on a worthwhile pursuit towards a goal so audacious it gives you shivers just thinking about it, then you are likely to feel isolated, alone and maybe even forgotten. But it’s not your fault. The infrastructure and platforms we use to socialise online aren’t built to foster closeness or nurture strong relationships. And that’s why Winners Circle has been formed.

We are creating this space as a solution to the lack of community, support and praise most young entrepreneurs, career-orientated individuals and artists experience. We know what it’s like to not have anyone to celebrate the small wins with. We know the feeling of staying up till 2am working on a project or new piece of art and have no one to talk to about the progress you are making. We know the pain of launching a new business but lacking support from your general circle.
